Steaks as Christmas gift

Anonymous
Has anyone given steaks as a holiday gift? I have a family member that is into cooking steaks and enjoys comparing sauces and different cuts and qualities of meat. I am thinking about getting him some high end steaks as a gift. I am not sure where to buy good steaks on line. (They would need to be shipped.)

My sister has been sending us Omaha Sreaks every Christmas for the past 10 years.

Probably would enjoy Waygu from Snake River Farms.

I think it's a nice gift. Better than a vase or a nice shirt....

+1 for Kansas City steaks

My DW is a steak lover and her sister sends them for her birthday every year.

Best part -- you get to melt the dry ice and make fog.

We raise grass-fed beef and every Christmas we have a local couple who buy a half beef from us and give their adult kids each 1/8 of it as a family gift. I think it's a nice gift if you know the people you are giving it to would like it.

Do not order from Omaha - especially for someone into cooking - the quality is horrible!
