My husband grew up near Palm Springs, so we go there s lot.
Joshua tree national park is a short drive away, but it can be much colder in the park. Not an active activity, but I’ve always wanted to go to the Integratron. No kids allowed, so it’s going to have to wait another 8 years. https://www.integratron.com/ The zoo is really nice, even for adults. Go get date shakes at Shields. The tram to the top of the mountain. You can often sled up there in the winter. Also hiking trails - there’s lots of them; check on line for whatever your level of interest is. We like to get a day pass to a hot springs hotel if our place doesn’t have a good pool. We’ve also done a horseback riding trip and a star gazing trip while we were in Palm Springs. We often drive to Idyllwild for a day trip. |
