The only books I like to read are cookbooks

The stories they tell tend to be great in between the recipes . Naturally reading recipes is boring . The frugal gourmet books are such fun reads.

We have the exact opposite taste in reading material because I hate when a cookbook (or blog) is ruined by commentary other than the recipe and tips for the recipe. My biggest pet peeve is, say, a recipe for cooking something in an instant pot that begins with what an instant pot is, the best one to buy, etc. At least the internet has “jump to recipe” buttons.

I love reading them too. I think it is because when I was growing up, I was often responsible for cooking dinner?

I hate the blogs where people drone on and on accumulating page views before they finally get to the recipes. I love reading cookbooks though.
