Does auto insurance cover the cost of repairing it?
How do you prevent this type of abuse? |
|
If you have a comprehensive plan with vandalism coverage then yes. I personally wouldn’t go through insurance for this for fear they’d increase premiums.
Put a camera up covering your car at home. That’s all you can do. |
It didnt happen at home. |

Where a lot of cars keyed, or just his? What did he do?
|
| My car got keyed really badly, and a body shop was able to buff it out fairly cheaply. |
Probably had the wrong sort of bumper stickers on it, or other telltale, that made it a target of the people who vandalize cars because of politics. |
Maybe his girlfriend did it. |
| A woman keyed me after we both arrived at the a parking spot at the same time and I took it. I didn’t think there was a clear “winner” because I got my daughter’s antibiotic before the CVS closed for the holiday and she got to scratch up my hoopty. |
|
Did you seriously report all the replies speculating that cars generally don’t get keyed without some kind of altercation? Which you then admitted happened?
So soft. |
| What did your DH do to get keyed? |
Damn it, I missed the explanation of what he did before it was deleted. Annoying. |

One ex girlfriend put sugar in my gas tank another ex her cousin bizarrely saw my car and screwed her boyfriend on hood of car and dented it.
Sadly I was cheating on both of them. Actually dating same time. And two different cars a year apart. Women know men love their cars so that’s where they get back at you. Your husband did something to someone |
| Sounds like he did something to deserve it. Maybe he should not ever do that again. |
' Oh please tell us the story! |
