We learned the hard way last weekend that the ice rink in Laurel MD is the absolute coldest rink on earth and has no real seating area for spectators. At least on the rink we were on.
We’ll be at Skate Frederick this weekend - does anyone know if it’s standing around the rink or if there are bleachers? And if bleachers - metal or plastic seats? I need to know if I need to tell my husband to get my Christmas gift now (a bleacher seat) 😂 |

| Skate Frederick is COLD, at least rink 2 last weekend was freezing. We could see our breath, I haven’t been that cold in an ice rink in a long time. You are right in your observation, Laurel is pretty cold at baseline. |

| Longtime hockey parent here...Frederick is known as one of the colder rinks in the area. |
