Does anyone have experience getting merit aid at Fordham?
We will not qualify for need-based financial aid. However, it looks like Fordham requires both the FAFSA and the CSS to get merit aid as well. |
yes - ~ 25% tuition break |

Their most recent posted common data set says about 2/3 of students without need got merit aid and their average merit award was $20,471
https://www.fordham.edu/info/25910/consumer_information/9229/common_data_set One thing a little questionable is that they have not posted common data sets for the past two years, only "available upon request." I'd definitely ask for those. It seems sketchy that they are not being up front with their data so things may have changed. |
| Last year my kid applied EA, a social sciences major, 3.9 uw/4.7 weighted GPA, 33 ACT. Offered $24k/year in merit (no financial aid). Attending elsewhere, however. |
| Hi, our DC22 applied RD, 3.91UW, 1510, 'most rigorous' checked (at least that is what counselor told kid), offered $20K/year scholarship. No financial aid. |
| Ugh. Doesn't sound like much. |
| Hi! I requested the CDS by email. They do willingly send them. I deleted them when kid said they don’t want to apply any longer. |
| I read they give full tuition to Nmsf/nmf |
| My son was offered $37K per year back in 2018. |
| I got full tuition for NMF, only way I could have attended. I believe this is still the case. |
| It's very expensive to go to school in NYC, so $20k at Fordham does not go very far. |
Fordham COA is similar to most private colleges/universities. |
They have scholarships for NMF, but not everyone gets it. |
