Which weights for Peloton?

Anonymous
I want to start doing strength workouts at home with the Peloton. Right now I'm just using it for biking (which I love) but I want to add strength to my routine.

What equipment do I need for their classes? I think I'm going to ask DH to get it for me for xmas

If you're just starting out, get 5's and 10's. If you want to add on more for progression, can also look at 12's or 15's. The highest they usually go is 20 but I wouldn't start with that.

Don’t forgot 3lb weights, you can use those for the rides that have arms and shoulders

Personally, I started with 5, 7 and 9lbs. Heavier is also good for lower body and chest, 12-15lbs.

+1

I have 10s, 20s, and 30s - but I have a long strength-training habit. Five and 10 pound dumbbells are a great place to start. They also have bodyweight strength classes, too.

I have 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 pound weights. Costco sells sets sometimes.
