Honestly, I accidently said "damn it" today, would you email the principal if your DC tell you that his 5th grade teacher said "DAMN IT"
|
| No. Even teachers get frustrated. As long as it just happened once and is not a habit, I’d let it go. |
|
So you can look ridiculous?
Please, go ahead. During virtual learning in MCPS, my 5th grader's teacher blasted out offensive lyrics at the beginning of every class. You've got a long parenting road ahead of you if you react to every little mishap. |
hahaha wasn't even mad at the kids, I was locked out from Kahoot or a different game. |
| I wouldn’t care unless the teacher uses expletives regularly or used them to berate a student. I did almost email the principal when a substitute gym teacher told the girls to put away the equipment their coed class had used because they’re better at cleaning up. I let it go because he was just a sub. |
| My kids go to catholic school, and they wouldn’t bother me at all. |
Yeah, what else can we expect from public education and FCPS at this point, right? |
^ “that”, not “they” |
Ignoring this was just meek and stupid. Parenting FAIL. I would have encouraged my child (male or female) to request a meeting with the principal to state what happened. |
I hate troll posts like this. |
Yeah, this is a troll. |
|
Just claim you said "damage", and that the kid must have misheard.
Stick to the story. |
| My fifth grader would love it! As a teacher/parent I’d laugh if he told me. We all have those days and any parent who’d complain after one slip is likely the type to get an eye roll from admin anyway |
| If my kid told me that the teacher said that, I would assume he misheard darn it. I certainly wouldn’t be confident enough to complain to the principal. |
| Not for first offense. Don’t sweat the small stuff, Op. |
