Maybe RMHS shouldn’t be allowed out on their lunch break

If they can’t act like civilized human beings. Currently there is a group from RMHS standing on a table at Roy Rogers yelling and acting like idiots. Manager just had to call the Police.

open lunch wouldn't stop it. They'd just go after school.

Totally agree.

This behavior really isn't all that new. I know there were issues from RM students at the Wendy's a few years back.

Or maybe parents could raise their kids to be respectful in public establishments. Remember, these are neighborhood kids. What they do at lunch, they also do after school and on the weekends.

The school is overcrowded. My DCs tell me that the lunch line is so long that they never get a chance to buy lunch. There is no room for all the students to eat in the cafeteria, and if the whether is bad, they'd all be stuck inside in the hallways for lunch. I could see that being a safety hazard.

If you want to not have open lunch, then you'll need to pony up and expand the school right now because Crown HS won't open until 2027.

+1. That's the second incident of bad RM students bad behavior during open lunch posted on this board in the past month or so. I said it then and I say it now, the principal needs to start cracking down. Find the kids who are misbehaving and forbid them to leave during open lunch. All these kids need to start having consequences.

Agree. I am also an RM parent. Principal needs to address this. It can’t be hard to figure out who the kids are and crack down. The kids who are causing trouble should not be allowed to leave school during lunch for 30 days.

Open lunch is a privilege. If kids are abusing that privilege, the kids need to lose that option.

I wouldn’t do this because it makes OP a target. People will call her a Karen and make disparaging comments about her.

I would take a video and sent it to the Prinicpal though. She needs to address this. I’m sure the businesses around RM want the lunch business from the students, but they also don’t want disruptive groups of teens acting like jerks.

Are we sure they are from RM?

Remember the teens who carjacked the last near there at Town Center were actually from DC. Maybe these were kids from DC and not RM?
