IVF with Dr. Greenhouse?

I have a consultation with Dr. Greenhouse at Shady Grove soon, and after a bad experience elsewhere, I'm hoping this works out. I've heard a few good things about him, but it has been scattered. Can anyone tell me a bit about him? Were you satisfied? Did he listen to you?

Dr. Greenhouse is my current RE and I am very happy with him. He is very competent and always willing to listen. He listens, emails, and is just a genuine, kind man. I think there are alot of women here who feel the same.

I am 15 weeks pregnant through my 1st IVF cycle with Dr. Greenhouse. My OB recommended him along with another Dr from another clinic. We obviously chose Dr. Greenhouse. We had male factor and recurrent pregnancy loss issues. Dr. Greenhouse was always available and responsive by e-mail and by phone. I can't say enough good things about him and the level of care I received. We had to have a lot of testing done before we could even start an initial cycle and I am so glad we did because he found some issues that we treated to prevent having another miscarriage that the other clinics did not even consider. I have an almost 11 year old that Dr. Greenhouse helped us get pg with - he was never condescending and always great to work with. While Shady Grove can feel like a factory - 10 years ago they had the highest success rate - which was the most important factor for us. I figured I could deal with all the various doctors we saw if I felt we were getting the best odds. Although my info is old, we couldn't have been happier with the results - 2 terrific kids.

i was a patient of dr. greenhouse this past year, am pg w/ twins. loved him. patient, kind, understanding, always on email to answer questions. calls to check in/check up during cycle. he didn't do my procedures, but always called to check in on me. his nurse was great too, i think her name is kim.

I was a patient of Dr. Greenhouse and mom of a 3 months old. Got pregnant through IUIs. Succeed at the 3rd try. Dr. G is a wonderful human being and a very competent doctor. Strongly recommend him.

I was a patient of Dr G's- we had 2 more IUIs until we agreed to IVF- we now have a 2.5 year old.. very greatefull

I am currently a patient of Dr. Greenhouses'. I don't have anything negative to say at all. I have been very happy with him. He is a compassionate man, who I believe truly cares how "women" are feeling. We unfortunately had an ectopic pregnancy/tube removal in May after our 2nd IUI, so we are moving on to IVF. We have our appt this Wednesday to discuss the next steps. You're in very good hands. Best of luck to you. Oh and his RN, Chris Bishop is great. She is a very caring nurse.

I have Dr G and I think he is great, but I don't like SG's other RE's that I have dealt with, and I wasn't assigned a nurse that seem to know what she's doing.
