Has anyone found any DC pharmacies that are more familiar with the Mounjaro manufacturer's coupon than others? Amazon Pharmacy says they don't take manufacturer's coupons and I don't have a whole lot of faith in my local CVS (notoriously horrible)
I looked here and didn't see this answered either since the NEW manufacturer's coupon was released 10/1/22. What are people paying per month with insurance generally but WITHOUT insurance coverage of the drug and WITH the manufacturer's coupon? The fine print seems to imply to me that you could still have to pay up to $500 a month... |
From my FB group:
‼️TLDR: Change pharmacy if yours won’t process the card. That’s all you can do. 🚨UPDATE 11/10 New Savings Card terms: If your insurance covers Mounjaro then you get 24 fills for as little as $25 If your insurance does NOT cover Mounjaro, the coupon now gives a maximum discount of $500 off a month supply (4 pens) 🚨 🚨CARDS PRE 11/10🚨 If your card is pre 11/10 it will have an RXGROUP such as FCMJDWB or similar, without a 2 in the middle, and will still be honored for the $25 cost. If you card was downloaded after the change on 11/10 and has RXGROUP code FCMJ2DWB (with the 2 in the middle), then it will be subject to the new terms 🚨 💻 Savings card link: https://www.mounjaro.com/savings-resources ✅ As per the terms, you must have commercial insurance to be eligible to use the card at all ✅ Additional/supplemental policies secondary to Government cover will also usually work ✅ You must complete the 3 question declaration in order to print/access the card ✅ The card is activated by the pharmacy when first used - RxBIN 018844 ✅ The card can be used EVERY MONTH until its expiry date ✅ The card covers a fill of 1 month at a time max if your insurance does not cover the med ✅ 1-3 fills at a time can be done if your insurance does covers the medication ✅ The card can only be used every 23 days ✅ Savings cards are generic at the point of download and are only linked to the patient by their email when activated by the pharmacy ❌ If the pharmacy won't process it without a diagnosis code, this is THEIR CHOICE/POLICY. ❌ Some pharmacies don't accept the savings card at all. In this case try an alternative pharmacy. ❌ Pharmacies are being told they will audited by Eli Lilly and may not be reimbursed for the medication if the card is used for anything other than diabetes, so your pharmacy may refuse on this basis. 🙏🏻 If you question is not answered here, or you would like to provide relevant info for others, please post here. Thank you ☺️ |
My group recommends Capsule if you’re in DC. |
