Please share applesauce loaf cake

My mom made the best applesauce quick bread when I was growing up. The recipe wasn’t written down. I have tried to remake it but find recipes end up making a cake that is lighter and more cake like than her recipe. Looking for any recipe recommendations for a more dense and moist applesauce cake.

Not a specific recipe (I wing and a prayer most of my quick breads) but try increasing the apple sauce and sugar and/or subbing brown sugar for white in some of your existing recipes. Making your own apple sauce and not puréeing it (so you still have chunks of apples in it) can also lead to better apple bread in my experience.

The America's Test Kitchen Kid's cookbook has an excellent one. If I can't find it online and I can find this thread again, I will type it in when I get home.
