Like the Holle stage 3, stage 4 formulas. I can start whole milk at 12 months? |
Right |
Yep no need. |
Never even heard of toddler formula! |
You don’t even need to start whole milk OP. As long as your baby eats a variety of nutritional foods with healthy fats, protein, calcium etc…. |
It’s not a bad idea. |
There's a weird contingent of anti milk people, but the truth is it's VERY hard for kids to get enough calcium and fat from non dairy sources. |
There’s a lot more dairy than milk. |
Bad advice. |
But if you are going to give your kid whole milk yogurt or cheese or whatever, why would you avoid giving them whole milk? I'm not some huge milk proponent, but I don't get why you'd avoid whole milk if you are going to use other dairy? Or is this a cow's milk thing? |
Actually it’s great advice. Most kids around the world don’t guzzle milk like American kids do and are just fine. If your kid won’t drink milk, there is no shortage of opportunities for them to get lots of nutrients. |
My kid won’t drink milk. But he will eat other dairy. It’s stupid to say that milk is some panacea that all kids need. It’s absolutely not. |
Literally nobody is saying that. |
The kids you are talking about are still getting breastmilk. As for OP's question, toddler formula is the biggest scam out there. |
Using a word like guzzle for people’s children is rude. |
