Please share if MOCO has any hacking competition for
Middle school and high school students. |
| Do you mean computer programming? Or computer security? Or something else? |
| Computer security but any thing related to computers is fine too. |
| Is this something that really needs a competition? Just help your child cultivate their interest without needing every hobby to have a competitive aspect. |
| Technica is an all female (and female identifying) hackathon at umd. It happens in fall (done for this year). It's part slumber party, part competition. Lots of mentorship, sponsorship and support. Super fun. Hasn't been fully back in person yet, but maybe next year. |
Just turn them loose on crypto exchanges. See what they can launder. |
I never understood why people use this term. It has a derogatory connotation and implies poorly cobbled-together code. |

One of my students is involved in this. It's awesome. |
Thank you so much for this! My daughter would love it — I wish we had heard about it sooner. She is a junior now and is really struggling to figure out if she should be looking at computer programs for college or not. |
you probably don't work in tech or old .. hacking is not derogatory |
