What is an appropriate generous holiday gift for preschool teachers?

Our kid is in their first year at a very small independent Montessori preschool with two teachers we love. What is an appropriate generous holiday gift for them? I would like to just give cash or a gift card but can’t decide how much and have never done this before.

I was just wondering this! I have 3 Pre-K/preschool teachers in my son's class. $50 each?

My nanny always got one week's pay, so I'm not sure of the rules for preschool

$50 is good

What would be the _most_ per teacher that would be appropriate? These people are saints as far as I can tell

$50 is appropriately generous.

One weeks tuition split between them

$100 Amazon gift card would be generous, but generosity can also be achieved with a small personalized or homemade gift that isn’t expensive.

I could be totally off base heee, but my kids went to/currently go to a NW DC preschool and I’ve done $150 or $200 per teacher in the past

I think that small personalized gifts are thoughtful, but not necessarily generous.

In the past we've been able to afford cash gifts, so that is what we gave. Preschool teachers need money. But if that is beyond someone's means, I'm sure they appreciate other gestures.

$100 per person and a Stanley cup

I also did $100 per teacher. I gave out a lot, including in prek, k and early grades. Im so grateful to teachers.

OP here. Thanks! Sounds like $50-100 is nice and no one will be weirded out at $150-200. Again, seriously, our teachers do SO much and have the patience of saints and the school system just seems so tenuous and I’m all for a little redistribution of wealth.

Agree with one week's tuition divided among teacher's IF you can afford it. Not everyone can and that's okay. But it's lovely to be generous if you can.

Do not your PTO parents collect certain amounts from all the parents before holidays, to give a collective gift to each teacher?

Our children's preschool collected from all parents and divided among the teachers, who do such important work and get paid so little (I was on the board of directors of the private preschool).

I'm sorry, but $50 us an insult. We always gave one month's tuition.
