Are there any good restaurants in/near Woodley Park

Anonymous
A friend is coming in from out of town and will be staying in Woodley Park. We'd like to go out for late afternoon snacks and drinks - any recommendations?

Bumping for any recent recommendations for friends to catch up over a meal in Woodley Park area. Doesn't need to be fancy but hopefully delicious and casual enough to linger and/or bars to visit afterwards to linger.

I would walk over to Adams Morgan for food. My favorites are Lapis, Namak, Reverie, and Jyoti. I don't know any bars well, but there may be some that are more adult vs those overrun w/weekend drunkards. If you walk down toward Dupont you'll could try Larry's. It can be very mellow and comfortable to hang out.

Alternatively, you could go someplace like Rajaji on Connecticut. Their food is quite good, the staff are all nice, and they're pretty casual. Nice patio out front, too. I think they'd be fine w/lingering as would Jyoti if they're not busy and you're buying drinks.
