Looking for recommendations for a hotel in Boston that is a good option for a little kids (4 and 1). We are going to visit friends - one lives north of the city and one lives south of the city. We were thinking either North End or towards Cambridge, Davis Square, etc. |
Will you have a car? Are you driving to meet the friends or are they coming in to meet you? |
There is a Residence Inn near the MIT campus in Cambridge that is comfortable and affordable. It is close to the Red Line as well. |
will have car. likely a combo of friends coming to us and us going to them. |
If looking for mid range Marriott Copley (recently renovated, fun elevator for kids, pool, nice lounge, awesome location) or a hotel along the waterfront so you can walk to aquarium to see the seals outside, walk the harborwalk, carousel etc.
Fairmont copley is also beautiful and has a resident dog, great location |
Keep in mind parking at Boston hotels adds up quickly at $60 to $70 per night |
I recently stayed at the Hyatt place in the seaport district and it would be great with kids. The rooms are huge, could walk to things and it was just convenient |
The Fairmont Copley is wonderful. It’s a great location and the kids can walk the hotel dog. |
We stayed at the Residence Inn Downtown/Seaport over the summer with the kids. It was suites with full kitchens. Excellent breakfast included in the mornings. It is right down the street from the Tea Party ships. |
OP here. This ended up being one of our final options but we were hoping for a pool… the friends we are visiting don’t have kids and aren’t morning people so we were thinking an hour at the pool after breakfast will be a way to blow off some energy. We ended up with the Kimpton which I’m not sure is a slam dunk and certainly wasn’t cheap but I was overwhelmed by all the options! |
A hotel with a resident dog would be a major bonus for me 😁 |
