Is anyone doing a signing day ceremony Thursday?

I don’t think there are a ton of HS parents here, but I’m curious if anyone has a kid doing signing day this week. Will your school or club host a ceremony? Has your child had a verbal commitment for a while and this is just a formality, or did they make a really recent choice? I enjoy seeing the kids sign at my child’s school and always wonder about the months leading up to it.

Isn't signing day in the Spring?

Not since Early Signing day was approved.

For football, it's in December.

For non-football DI and DII sprits, it's Nov. 9, tomorrow.

So many athlete's in my son's sport for the Ivies and high academic schools, don't even formal or written commits/NLI until February of Senior year at the earliest. A few college coaches told my son last summer as a rising Junior that he was 'very early' in the process, they were working on rising Seniors.

Really? Lots of seniors signing to ivies at my kids’ school too and will do fall signing day of senior year.
