ISO Brown bread served in Ireland cafes - what is it called? Recipes?

| It looks dry, but it’s moist and melts in your mouth. Served with butter. It was served with tea and was the best bread I’ve ever tasted. I’d love to bake some for Thanksgiving if I can find the name and locate a recipe. |

The problem is that you can't find the flour here unless you have an Irish shop nearby. King Arthur makes one which is meh and you can buy some online via Amazon but they are expensive and I generally don't trust them. Some of the very Irish parts of NJ, NY and MA will have an Irish section where they have the flour like Odlum.

Soda bread is different from brown bread. You don't really need Irish flour. I typically make my SIL's version, which doesn't really use measurements, but this is pretty close:

| The Epicurus recipe is the closest I have found to Irish brown bead. The wheat germ seems to do it. |

+1i think it is also called molasses bread or molasses brown bread too. |

| Outback has brown bread, as does the Cheesecake Factory. And you can get brown read in a can. I haven't tried it but Emmymade said it was yummy. |
