My kid’s high school teacher still hasn’t grade over 10 assignments

Title says it all.

Email the teacher and ask when they will be graded. If you don’t get an answer email the principal. That’s BS. Kids need real time feedback.

+1 How is a student to learn from mistakes if assignments and tests aren’t graded?

This isn't uncommon at our child's MS. Multiple teachers have had this problem in multiple quarters over years.

It's possible that something happened and the teacher was sick for some time or couldn't finish grading as intended. At this point, the report will be whatever it was on Monday. Are you sure those assignments are going on 1st qtr grades? Some may be ungraded or going on 2nd qtr.

Only 1 formative assignment a week is allowed these days. My thinking is that the over 10 assignments is mostly or all practice or completion grades. Those don’t impact grades much since they all add up to 10%. Or there’s something else to the story other than the teacher just hasn’t graded.

One formative assignment is not followed these days.

Most were all tasks, from middle of September and onward. They were all graded in 12 hours.

All Tasks and Assessments are mostly formative assessments by definition. They are not County “Formatives”, but they aren’t usually summativr assessments either.
