| Just bought a car. Are the extended warranties wise to buy. Hyundai. $2000 to extend the 6 year factory warranty to 10 years. |

| We did. Shop around as different dealers and online can also offer the factory warranty for cheaper. We did not buy ours at the same dealer. |

Depends on the warranty and tier. Is it a manufacturer warranty or third party? Read the terms carefully. What does it cover/what is excluded? Wear and tear items are generally excluded. Is it likely you’ll keep the car for a decade? Is the warranty transferable? Extended warranties are big money makers for the F&I guys at dealerships. Up to
half of that $2000 is likely to be markup. |

| also, it would makes sense to buy that warranty closer to the end of year 6. In case, your case gets totaled or sold, it would be useless. |
