Wondering what you mamas think about sleep sacs? useful? not so much? |
we started using it once we stopped swaddling. |
yes, we used them every night for the colder months. not so much in warmer weather though. |
What age are you talking about? We used the kiddopotamus swaddle sacks when DC was little. After we stopped swaddling, we moved to the Halo sleep sacks. DC still sleeps in one at 16 months. He uses a blanket for naps, but he rolls like crazy at night and I like that I know he's covered. We use sleep sacks all year round (fleece or cotton, long sleeve or sleeveless). |
Switched from swaddle to sleepsack around 16 weeks and our DD loves it -- it's a cue that it's time to sleep. In this warmer weather, I buy the Aden & Anais muslin ones. |
Yes. We absolutely use our sacks. Started using them right after we stopped swaddling. |
you may want to borrow one if you can...one of my daughters loved it, the other hated it . |
DS loved it - will echo the PP who said it was good once DC outgrew swaddling. |
We actually used the swaddle halo saks from the beginning. The only thing DS would let us put him in without freaking out in the beginning. Now that he is a little older and doesn't need the swaddle part, we are still able to put him in the sak since now he is rolling around! We had fleece ones for the winter and now we are onto cotton! |
We still use them -- grobags (you can find on amazon). DD is 22 months. We will stop using htem when we move her to a bed. |
Yes, love them. Use Aden and Anais muslin in the summer. DD is a serious mover and would never keep a blanket on. |
I LOVE the Halo Sleepsacks. The fleece ones are nice in the winter. DS is also a mover in his crib. I would highly recommend them. |
My little girl never really liked them. She also started standing up pretty early so I thought she would trip.
Is that not an issue with others with older babies in sleep sacs? |
We love them! DD (now 20 mos.) has slept in one for every nap and every night since we stopped swaddling. I can't imagine not. We use grobags - and LOVE them. And, DD can walk just fine in the grobag - it doesn't trip her. |
Yes. Loved them. We swaddled until 12 weeks, then switched to sleep sacs. Used them until DS got too big for the Extra Large which was about 2 months ago. He is almost 2.5 years old. Now he sleeps with blankets, but honestly, he is usually bare which is why the sleep sacs are so good. Keeps them cozy during the night.
