Stay away from financial sales people that sell products, and the stock jocks with the fancy buildings.

I never used her as a financial advisor, but she taught a personal finance class at my agency 8 years ago. She was very straight-forward and explained the topics really well. Her class put me (and a lot of my colleagues) on the right path financially.
