Has anyone declined their spot? I am interested in a PK spot and I was wondering if anyone put in deposits at 2 schools and has made a choice or if someone has decided not to go the private school route?

It is just hopeful thinking, but I thought that I would ask to see if there will be movement on any waitlists.

Waiting lists don't work the way you are implying. The schools admit more applicants than they expect will accept their offers of admission. If they predict the yield rate correctly, they take no one off the waiting list.

Then the AD goofed. But such goofs rarely happen. A school would err in favor of under-admitting and go to the waiting list to fill spaces. But, realize that these school have been doing this for years: they know their yield rate.

If there is a goof would they reasses the admission decisions and turn some of the children away or do they just accomodate the extra children?
