Do TPMS students really need to turn in HS apps today?

ParentVue says the applications are due Friday, but TPMS has sent out multiple messages saying they’re due today. Anyone know what that's about? Is the kid screwed if we submit for the Friday deadline?

It seems like they are trying to be proactive so they can chase down would-be applicants. But it's alarming!

Why alarming??

DCC Choice forms are due to today; application program forms are due Friday.

OP here. This is the message TPMS sent out:

Just a quick reminder: All High School Process forms are due October 31st! This includes:
DCC Choice Forms
Application Program Forms (with essay component etc.)
Interest based program forms

Maybe they just picked the earlier (DCC) date so people don’t mix up which one is due when. We’re not in the DCC, so my kid can submit by 11/4, right?

You probably need to call them. And tell them they're being confusing and it makes the process even more stressful.

NP. Why the heck would they set up two different deadlines for the high school process? Seems like it would be easy enough to make everything due 11/4.

Because application programs are not due until 11/4 and they did send out communications saying application programs are due 10/31, causing confusing and scramble and posts like this.

Huh - we didn't get this message. Through what platform did you receive it?

I'm not the op but I've received numerous emails, a paper letter on Friday and reminders on the Talking point app. We're not DCC, my child is in the magnet

I’ve gotten these TPMS messages too. I’m not in the know, but I’ve been assuming that the counselor sending those messages wants as many submissions as possible by 10/31, so she can have a few days to chase down all the people who would have missed the 11/4 deadline without it. It’s annoying and confusing, I agree, but that’s what I think is going on.

Nope, everything is due 11/4 but TPMS is making it confusing by saying it’s today. It’s not.

The counselor who sent them on Friday by text sent a correction about the 11/4 deadline shortly afterwards. They need to lay off on lying to parents about the 11/4 deadline.

Thanks! I got the original message, but no correction. Glad to know there’s no Top Secret TPMS deadline. 😅

How is this a bad thing? You have had a few weeks to complete it?
