... When you are about to go to bed and you realize your vegetarian kid who normally gets school lunch needs to brown bag it tomorrow for a field trip and you haven't been shopping?

No bread or cracker type item in the house after making french toast today
Likes eggs but got teased once about hard boiled eggs so won't bring them
Can't have nuts
Lost thermos

Toasted frozen waffle and plain yogurt with freezer fruit mixed in for the win! I completely forgot we had waffles in the freezer.

I would not let my child be a vegetarian. Nutrient dense foods are important for growth and brain development. This whole post and the suggestions just makes me sad.

you are wrong on so many ways. There are lots of nutritious vegetarian options out there. Maybe not in OPs kitchen right this second though lol.

We usually have sheets of nori on hand, so I will do a rice ball in nori. Otherwise, I would do the bagel and cream cheese or grab something from the store before school.
