How much does a personal trainer cost?

I have never tried personal training but am thinking about it.

NP. Do people tip trainers? I'm never quite sure how far things are meant to go with regard to tipping for services... is it considered a service like massage?

No. That is ridiculous. They are keeping 100% of what you pay them, if you hire a trainer directly.

I pay $80/hr in NoVa at a boutique gym. Trainer is an independent contractor at the gym.
