where do you buy suits - need separates

Returning to work soon and my old suits don't fit yet. I need separates as I am 1-2 sizes smaller on top. I'd like to spend $100-200/suit, or a bit more if I have to. Where should I look besides Ann Taylor?

I've found good suit separates at Banana Republic and J Crew, though sometimes the online selection is better than in store. I've also had decent luck at the various designer areas of Macy's like Jones New York. Also check I.N.C. at Macy's - slightly younger/trendier look than some of the other Macy's lines.

when I need suits I hit up Loehmann's in falls church and Syms...always find good stuff.

I like the Semantiks separates at Nordstrom. I think the women's sale is on right now and the prices are very reasonable.

I hate to disagree on the prior rec... I love Loehmanns for most things but they do not usually have suit separates... it is usually a set (aka a size 2 blazer and size 2 skirt) that can't be mixed and matched.

I've had some luck in the past with Eddie Bauer. I like the separates not for different sizing of top and bottom, but because you get full features in the bottoms, like actual pockets!
