Why on earth do you assume all men like the same thing, and all women like the same thing? It's so irritating.

My husband likes to garden and has an orchid collection. I, a wife, like certain immersive video games.

Get over yourself PPs, they are just crowdsourcing ideas and never said all men like the same thing.

It's a stupid thread. Ex: "What's a good boy gift for the elementary set?" or "ISO gift for tween girl". It perpetuates strict gender roles, and that's not OK.

My husband loves non fiction and band tshirts. I try to find interesting ones with his aesthetic in mind. Also art prints. Gift certificates for his music kit. He’s a middle aged art and music nerd. I also get him luxury items he wouldn’t get himself like skincare and high end skivvies, fancy socks. Concert tickets. Memoirs. Cocktail stuff.

If my budget were higher I would get him tickets to a show of a favorite artist in another town/country and take him away for an experience type gift.

Christmas is inclusive. It’s a federal holiday. Santa is not biblical so feel free to celebrate.

No, it acknowledges reality. Some boys play with Barbie dolls. It’s perfectly fine for boys to play with Barbie dolls. It’s also true that more girls than boys will enjoy Barbie dolls. If you don’t know what to buy, it makes sense to increase your odds of buying an appropriate gift by thinking of what things in the target demographic like.

DP here. I like these threads. Sure, some suggestions would never work for me, but I've found plenty of great ideas reading through these sorts of threads. Feel free to scroll on by all the"stupid" threads. Have a good day.
