Looking for a recommendation. My 2.5 year old daughter has had several instances of reactive airway disease after having respiratory infections. I understand they don't diagnose asthma at this age, but she has already been sick 2x this fall and needing to use her nebulizer for wheezing and it's only October...I feel like I need to get a better handle on this so hopefully she will outgrow it. My ped is wonderful but doesn't think she needs to see a specialist at this point but I want to for my piece of mind and to get a more proactive action plan. Any recommendations would be appreciated! |
I'm in a very similar situation with my 2 year old (happened 3X in the past few months), and our pediatrician similarly thinks a specialist is not needed. Another specialist that my kid sees told me that most of the ped pulmonologists in the area are at Pediatric Specialists of Virgnia. I haven't made an appointment yet, but my understanding is that it can take a while to get an appointment. |
Where are you located? Dr. Samuel Rosenberg is a pediatric pulmonologist in Rockville. |
OP - I’m in DC but willing to drive for a specialist like this. |
Did you look at Children's? |
Yes Childrens has them but I am asking for doctors people have had good experiences with for similar issues. |
We like Dr. Martin with Pediatric Specialists of Virginia. However, the front desk staff there are really disorganized. |
