Poolsville Upcounty Gr 8 Open Houses Week

Is the meeting virtual, or we need to be in the school, rest of the schools is not virtual.

Looking at Poolesville's website, it seems to be virtual.

IMO that is a good thing. I've been to 3 in the past. So overcrowded that the event was split into two sessions by alphabet and parking was a disaster anyways. You didn't get to see anything in the school - just sit in the auditorium and listen to students in the program talk about their experience. With the current construction, there's just not enough parking.

I have been two so far and this virtual one... I am kind of disappointed. feels like a play rehearsal.

I felt the same way. Like it was perfectly choreographed.

Haha. I will tell DD and she will be relieved. They didn’t rehearse at all and she thought that everyone could tell.

There's seriously nothing to see at Poolesville other than a construction site, portables, and a few small crowded hallways. Virtual gives a more accurate glimpse at the program without the building itself getting in the way.

But the building is also important and a big part of the school. Especially considering rising freshman will be juniors when it is hopefully done. I believe the state of the school is pretty bad with the construction and the 12 portables that’s why they wanted to block parents from attending it and that could dissuading parents from applying there. Kids basically live there especially smacs kids, so physicals school building is importance aspect of the school
