Favorite easy under 5 ingredient treats and meals

For those of us who are not overly skilled in the cooking area I'd love ideas on easy things you can make with kids or for your self. One of my favorites is Pumpkin Cookies.
One box of spice cake mix or trader joes pumpkin muffin mix + one can of pumpkin
Stir to combine until fully combined
drop on a baking sheet and add chocolate chips if desired.
Bake at 350 for 12 - 15 minutes.

Quick dinner:

Stir fry:
- sauté chicken tenders, ground turkey or ground beef
- add a bag of shredded cabbage/coleslaw mix
- add rice vermicelli noodles
- add teriyaki sauce
- top off with cashews or peanuts if desired

Voila! So fast and easy, my kids love it.

I don’t use butter and double the recipe and use parchment paper instead of wax

Here’s a link to a thread you may find helpful. I especially encourage you to look at the recipe for 7 Layer Cookies, because even though the ingredients exceed the 5 item limit, it’s one of the simplest things to make (great to do with kids), and absolutely scrumptious.

Oops, I just realized the Seven Layer Cookie recipe didn’t include baking time. It should be bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees F (until it starts to turn golden brown as the condensed milk caramelizes).

Cooked chicken ( I use a rotisserie chicken) frozen veg, can of cream of chicken soup, cheese , frozen tator tots. Mix everything together except the Tator Tots and put in baking dish. Put the frozen tator tots on top. Bake in preheated oven for about 30-40 mins. I actually use cream of celery soup, you might need 2 cans….. I didn’t include amounts because you really can just wing it. I had leftovers for lunch at work today and my kid will have leftovers for dinner with the sitter tonight. It’s her new favorite dinner.

Black bean nachos. Put tortilla chips on plate, black beans on top, shredded cheese on top of that. Broil for about 2 mins, keep an eye on it though. Serve with salsa, guacamole etc. we are basic so our guacamole is literally smushed up avacado with some salt….. I have salsa, kids have tomatoes as well.

2 packets of ramen. Chicken, carrots, celery. Boil 5 cups of water ( 2 packages will say 4 cups but this dilutes the salt and you’re adding stuff so 5 is better. Add the carrots/celery. About 5 mins later add the ramen, 2 mins later take off heat and add the cooked chicken and seasoning packets . Done. If you need a lot just double or triple it.
