Charges Dropped in MCPS football fight

Looks like the Gaithersburg HS AD has dropped charges against the 2 Northwest coaches.
Hopefully the head coach is reinstated. Germantown needs all of the positive, young, black role models it can get right now and the firing was both unjust and deflating to the youth players. I really saw the unjust firing as yet another example to young black men that the system is unfair and you just can't win working within it so why bother.

Absolutely agree. Coach Hawkings clearly swatted a hand put toward him during a heated, stressed moment. This is a reflexive, automatic motion every single human has. I can not speak with certainty to the junior coach. Someone clearly was more physical, looks like they were trying to defend Hawkings, but I can't tell who it was on the recording. But it is extremely clear what happened with Hawking, which was unjust.

Why is it that we care so much about coaches as role models? Does the kid who gets cut or doesnt play a sport just not get one?

Weird take. Go look at the student section of Northwest. The coach is a role model for hundreds of kids. Also, there are no cuts in football. Sorry your kid didn't try out or whatever your grudge is.
