Does it get cuter than 4?

Anonymous
Four has got to be the cutest age. Watching them jump with excitement when they score their first goal in soccer; smiling as they nail every lyric to their favorite song on the radio; the pride when they can write their whole name for the first time; the still-cute pronunciations (“punkmen” for pumpkin); the pre-K stories they come home with about sharing or being a good friend. And then how awesome it is that they are big enough to pick out their own outfit, get dressed, brush their teeth and hair and load their backpack without your help in the morning; fetch you a glass of water from the kitchen if you’re thirsty, and show enthusiasm for helping with minor tasks like vacuuming and dusting. Of course despite being so independent, they still want to give you full body hugs and unsolicited proclamations of love all day. As my twins get closer to turning five, I know I’ll be really nostalgic for four for a long time coming. Enjoy your little ones, everybody!

OMG I LOVEEE FOUR

For sheer physical cuteness, 2 was the sweet spot for my kids.
But in terms of behavior, they can be cute at any age. Even my 17 year old, who drives me crazy, airs the funniest views on current world affairs: a mixture of wisdom and naivete.

Four was pretty great! My favorite was 5, so you have more good stuff coming, OP.

While I love 4, I actually think a lot of the cuteness is gone. 18 months - 3 years old were the cutest for my kids. They physically still had baby fat (the tummies and their cheeks!) and were so in awe of the everything. I loved teaching them about the world.

It's been a bit downhill since kindergarten because so much of their innocence is lost. There they get to learn about mean people, bullies, poverty, wars and there's no more play time.

Totally agree with you OP.

My boys are now 19 and 15 and for both of them, four was my favorite age! Enjoy!

They are still really cute all through the single digits, in my opinion. The 6 and 7 year old jackolantern teeth are adorable.

Now that my kids are older, I find gawky middle schoolers and striving high schoolers to be cute in their own way. Little kids all look the same to me now, and I have trouble understanding what they are trying to say (I’m old).

I think 2 is the cutest

My kids and I both enjoy watching videos of them at that age. They were just living dolls.

OP, get video of them whenever you can. Pictures are fine, but to actually see them moving and talking in that adorable voice. It's such a fleeting thing. Nothing fancy, just day to day activities or when they are trying to explain something.

I agree that 4 is really cute and fun (even if your post is a veiled brag about how advanced your kids are).

I think physical cuteness peaks from 18mo-2 but personality cuteness peaks at 4.

I have to agree, 4 is that sweet spot of cute, sweet and don't need eyes on them 24/7 (maybe 20/7 lol).

My favorite is 18 months-2 years old, and then again around 6.5/7.

3, 4, and 5 are nightmares for me

Agree! Though for us, things improved around 5.5 for both kids. I do not parent preschoolers well.

3.5 to 4 are the cutest. Then it fades by 5 and becomes little kid awesome. But the toddler/preschooler cute goes away. Enjoy it. I have a 6 and a 3 year old. And even the 6 year old knows how cute her sister is an comments on it all the time. Its adorable and makes it fun.

Yup. Love the full body hugs and the intense happiness at the smallest things.
