Daycares/preschools near Vienna/Tyson’s that do not require vaccine or masks

FYI - vaccines are for these exact scenarios, close quarters, people packed in together is a perfect storm for disease transmission.

I vaccinated my kids but is that a common requirement? Uptake for this age group is so low.

At Celebree School in Tysons masks have not been required. As far as which vaccines are required I would five them a call.

Yeah I didn't get the impression it was common either, especially since it is still only EUA. Our daycare had more of a carrot approach because being vaccinated initially got kids out of quarantine for exposure but now that's disappeared altogether as well.

Anyone who is really concerned about getting Covid is not sending their kids to daycare, period. It really doesn’t matter if the kids are wearing their masks half-a$$ for part of the day. Covid and other illnesses still spread! And the vaccine has not been shown to appreciable reduce transmission in this age group either. We got my DC vaccinated because there didn’t seem to be much downside to it but I don’t think daycares/preschools should be mandating vaccines under EUA. We are in MoCo, which is pretty pro-vaccine and pro-masks but ours has not required it this far and I don’t know of any other nearby centers that have.

I think OP is talking about a completely unvaccinated child not specifically covid.

I think it’ll be hard to find a place that doesn’t require vaccines in general. But I have never looked. I hope you are getting regular childhood vaccinations for your child.

I'm pretty sure they need to require routine vaccinations to maintain licensing. Our school requires updated vaccination records every year. Flu and Covid vaccines are not required. Masks haven't been required since early 2022.
