Is Whitman Tennis Competitive?

Is Whitman tennis (boys and/or girls) a competitive team? Do they have cuts? Do they have JV and Varsity teams for the boys and girls teams?

I've heard that MCPS boys tennis teams are stronger than the private school boys teams; and the reverse is true for girls teams. Is that still true?

There is only a varsity team for boys and girls in all MCPS schools. I can’t say with 100% certainty because my kid doesn’t go to that school but has played against their tennis team - I would say it is competitive and they do make cuts.

Read my reply and want to clarify - there is a boys varsity team and a girls varsity team. No JV tennis teams in MCPS.
