Neighborhood Recommendations

Considering moving to NOVA next summer and would like some recommendations for neighborhoods that are either close-in and Metro accessible or near a VRE station. Would love to live somewhere that is diverse, lots of children, sense of community with good schools. We currently live in a neighborhood where there are not many children and would like ours to have friends they can easily see on weekends and during the summer (without having to drive them). TIA

Arlington, Falls Church or the town of Vienna.

Generally, all the communities in NoVa have good schools. Everyone has strong opinions about which district is "the best." Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, and Vienna all get positive reviews. I have found that it is the commuting time that is the real issue.

I just moved to Pine Springs in Falls Church and LOVE it! Very friendly neighborhood, tons of kids, they do neighborhood pizza parties frequently... a really really nice neighborhood.

does Pine Springs have a pool too? I think that is the neighborhood my friend recommended but said one side of street has a pool...
