Lighting fixture inspiration

We are replacing all the outdated lighting fixtures (ceiling) in our home.

Dining room, family room, sun room and 2 story entrance foyer.

Would love to see a good eye candy type of post. Can anyone point me to a place with good inspiration?

I think we can figure out the rooms with relative ease. I’m struggling with the entrance foyer fixture.

One thing to consider about the foyer light is the other lighting in the space. Some lights that look great cast weird shadows, which could be an issue if it’s the only light.

Can you tell us anything about the foyer light? What is the style of your house? When was it built? What does the door hardware look like? What’s on the floor? What is your personal style? What is your budget?

Ditto about your style. Traditional? Modern? Finish preferences?

The Fox Group only seems to build houses with grand, two-story foyers. You might click around in their portfolio for some ideas. This is from one of their houses:



I wish the full fixture was shown here, but it's interesting with the mix of wood and metal.


A big, open lantern is a clean look that would work for lots of different styles of home. You can find them at a range of prices and in lots of finishes. Don't ask me what is going on in the rest of this picture...I just thought the fixture was a good example!
