Where can I get decent pieces of cod? All I can ever find are these thin slivers. I want a big thick 1-1.5" fillet. Where can I find those?

Try calling around. I don't specifically buy cod so I can only tell you that I would try calling The Fresh Market, Balducci's, Wegman's, Safeway and Giant.

I got nice thick pieces of cod at Wegmans on Saturday. They were dinner tonight with tomatoes, olives, and capers.
