We are new this year and want to be generous but not flashy. How much do most families give?

My kids attended a Title 1 elementary school in Arlington. We usually donated upwards of $2,000 or so a year. A mixture of cash and in-kind gifts.

Families consider that when you have a no-frills fundraiser, it means you’re not going to be asked to donate to an auction or any other fundraisers throughout the year. It’s meant to be a write a check one and done. If you are a family who is not struggling financially, sorry to assume, but most are not struggling in the Taylor District, 25 is definitely on the low side.

What is this for? Everyone just gives X amount a year? I haven't been asked or heard of this.

Not every school does this. It’s called a no frills fundraiser.
