We are considering purchasing the BOB revolution stroller for jogging. For those who own one, any feedback? Also, could we use it as our regular stroller as well?
Thanks in advance. First baby due in August and we are both clueless. ![]() |
My sister has this stroller and they love it. She uses it for more than just running (actually, her husband is the one that runs and he likes it for that). She pretty much uses it for beach, vacation, strolling that sort of thing. Regular strollers just don't have the control and shock absorption needed for running.
That said, I don't think you can put a baby into a jogger until s/he is 6 months old. You might want to wait until the baby is old enough so you can really try a few out. (This is actually my advice for regular strollers too -- wait until the kid needs it because you'll have so many more opinions about what you want in a stroller when you're actually going to use it than before the baby is born.) That said, it's a pricey item and you might want to register for it! |
Actually, the BOB strollers have an attachment for baby car seats so I began to run with my little one at three months. And it was great. I have loved my BOB and found it a wonderful stroller to run/exercixe with. It is big and doesn't fold well, so you will definitely want another for walking around town, especially if you are in and out of cars/stores etc. But we got a cheap regular stroller for the regular things. But i highly recommend the revolution for running, and actually it was great in bad weather, esp snow! |
Love love love our BOB! We have the infant car seat attachment, which is great and actually holds the seat a lot better than it would seem (when I first saw it, I thought there was no way it would really keep the seat secure, but it does). We haven't had any problems folding it up and getting it in the car, but we have a RAV-4, so we just stick it in the back. I could see it being more of a hassle to get in and out of a trunk. |
We love our BOB and use it for all walks and runs. However, I think its too big for taking it to the mall, restaurants, etc. -- you'll have trouble with it in tight spaces. As one PP said, you will probably need to get a cheaper stroller to go along with it. But I highly recommend the BOB. |
BoB revolution is my favorite of my strollers. It is my go to whenever I can use it. I have taken it to the mall but if I know it is going to be a tight situation I use my combi.
The BOB is easy to maneuver, comfy for my son and folds up easily and compactly in our small condo's closet and fits nicely in the back of our car. Extras I bought for it were the drink holders, the warm and fuzzy for the winter months and the rain/wind shield. I'm expecting #2 and am going to get the infant seat attachment. Didn't purchase the BOB until my DS was 7 months. Pricey but worth it in my opinion. |
LOVE my bob. Especially the fact that when you are using it for regular stuff you can push it with one hand, which is nice to have the other one free. My Peg Perego really needs to be pushed with both. |
BOB changed my life. (don't tell my husband!) The Revolution is the best stroller and it really does go anywhere. Running, walking, shopping, and we just took it through the airport and stuffed it in the airplane. We've had it for 2 years and still love it. Never use our other strollers now. |
It's good that you're asking questions...I didn't and have been through a ton of strollers until I finally go it right-for me. I got the Dreamer Design Manhatten Lite, priced less than the BOB but a sturdy, well made jogger-it's fairly light, and a had good reviews and a McLaren Volo for shopping-it stays in my car. I wish I had investigated strollers while I was pregnant, I would have saved a ton of money. I've never heard anyone say they didn't like their BOB. |
