Is the leopard print music skirt still “in”

Anonymous
I just got a cute knee length silky leopard print skirt ( midi) . I think it’s adorable but my husband made fun of me when I tried it on today and said it looks like I’m in an old lady outfit.

I swear he is very nice, but sometimes he likes to blurt out opinions on my fashion choices. I remember a lot of leopard print midis going around a few years ago and I like them but never got one until now. Still in? Should I even care? I’m pairing it with black V-neck top and some ankle boots for a girls night out this weekend.

I just wear what I like and fits me well. I don't really care what's in style or what others think. I refuse to be a slave to the latest fashions - some of them are awful.

It's fine. I'm in the "hate animal print" set, but it still seems to be in style.

Don't listen to your DH. Men are not always the best judges of fashion and this is particularly true with certain items. I like leopard print and it looks good on me because the coloring is very flattering for my skin tone. I don't wear it head to toe but have several pieces that incorporate it and my DH hates them all because he associates animal prints of all kinds with either old ladies or flashy, tacky women. I have a leopard print wool scarf that is gorgeous and I often travel with it because I wear a lot of black when I travel and it's an easy way to dress them up. He calls it my "Blanche" scarf because he thinks the concept of an animal print scarf is exclusive to a cougar like Blanche from the Golden Girls. I ignore him!

I'd actually be more inclined to buy one of those leopard print midi skirts now than a few years ago specifically because it was so ubiquitous for a time. Now you could wear one without worrying you'd see two other women wearing the same thing.

If you want to wear animal print, you should not care what other people think. Be wild (like the animal) or don’t wear it.

Midi skirts are in and tasteful animal print is never out - some people don’t care for it, but it’s always around. I think your outfit sounds nice.

Funnily enough, my husband been encouraging me to get a skirt similar to the one you’re describing here. I’d never been that into leopard print, but it turns out, my husband likes it and really wants me to get a leopard print skirt.

I think I will now, partly because of the comments of some of the responders above here!

+1 leopard anytime and midi’s are very in right now. But you’re confusing what’s in fashion with what your husband finds attractive
