Chicken Waldorf salad/chicken salad with apples

I remember trying chicken salad with apple when I was a kid and for some crazy reason I want to try it again.

I googled recipes but I’m coming here to see if anybody has a good recipe to try or, if there’s a restaurant that serves it so I don’t have to make it.

Just make chicken salad as you normally would and then add chopped up Granny Smith apples.

I recently tried and loved chicken salad with grapes. Wonder if it’s a similar effect?

Maybe, that’s another interesting combo.

To the pp- in my memory it was not Mayo. Maybe it was miracle whip because it was white but the flavor wasn’t mayonnaise.

I like chicken salad with apples, dried cranberries & pecans (or almonds). If you don’t like mayo, some people use yogurt or sour cream (or a mixture of mayo & those). The grocery stores around me sell a pretty good version, but I don’t live in the DC area any more.
