How to document weight lifting workouts

I'm starting a weight lifting routine. What is the best way to document the exercises that I do, # reps, weight, etc? Is there a helpful app? Thanks!

Make a template on notes on your phone using checklist/bubbles

Create a separate folder just for completed works outs
Copy and paste work out template into folder each day you workout. Add date at top before you work out

Google sheets. I never found an app flexible enough for my needs.
