Saxenda + cost

Anonymous
My doctor recommended Saxenda for me (obesity + high BP + high fasting glucose but not officially pre-diabetic), but even though it is covered by insurance it still will cost $1360/month. It seems like that $1360/month is for 3mg/day for 30 days, so I guess 90mg? I'm wondering if there is a way to get it somewhere else (Canada?) where it doesn't cost as much. Anyone have any leads?

I have done every weight loss thing in the book. I exercise daily, and eat well. I've done WW, personal trainers, those messed up energy drinks that eventually got banned. I've done vegetarianism, keto, IF, etc. I just don't like starving, and it seems like that's what I've always had to do to lose weight. It's frustrating, and now that it seems to be impacting my health, I feel like I need to do something different.

Check with your insurance to see if Ozempic or Mounjaro are covered. They are once a week rather than daily and better for many. Ozempic is also available in Canada at a lower cost and Mounjaro has a coupon if not covered by insurance.
