Please ONLY answer if you live by yourself: if you have multiple snacks at home, do you eat all of one before opening another or rotate around? So if you have a bag of popcorn, box of Wheat Thins, and a bag of pretzel crisps do you finish the box of Wheat Thins before moving on, or just have all three open at once and eat whichever one you're in the mood for?
I just realized I eat all of one before opening another, AND that I prefer to eat all of one thing on my plate before eating the next thing too. So all the carrots before eating the chicken, then eating all the chicken before eating the potatoes. |

I have like 6 various open snacks right now. But I get sick of things quickly and will often not finish something before it goes stale. Your way is better with less waste.
I also like to eat all the things on my plate at a pretty equal rotation and mix and match some things. I would be afraid I would miss my French fries if I ate them all first before starting on my burger or vice versa! I do like to save my favorite bite for last though, which might be a single food or a combination of foods. |
| I definitely rotate. Snacks and leftovers. |
| I rotate and am trying to better about not wasting so much food. I used to throw away so many half finished bags of snacks because they would go stale before I finished them. Now I try to only open 1 bag of tortilla chips (I eat a ton of hummus, guac, and other dips), 1 other salty snack, 1 type of cookie, 1 type of candy, 1 frozen treat. I also prioritize using up fresh fruits and veggies first which is part of the reason I was wasting so much snack food. Buying food for one is actually pretty challenging when you love food because you want to buy what looks good in the store, but then you have to eat it enough to use it all up. |
| I think I should finish all of one snack (or type of snack — salty or sweet, for example), but sometimes I get tired of eating the same thing before it runs out, and open something else. Then I feel guilty and finish off the old snack, even if it’s stale. I have grown to almost like stale crackers. |

I have chips, popcorn etc open at the same time. Sometimes I decide it's been here too long and throw it out, but usually I eat things before they go stale.
But I also don't count crackers as snacks. Right now I have 4 boxes of crackers open (Triscuits, Wheat Thins, stoned wheat crackers and Club. And Ryvita, which is really its own category). I eat cheese & crackers for dinner probably 2-3x/ week. |
