My 13 yo has certain downtime restrictions on his phone that are controlled by a password he doesn’t have. However I get reports re his total time on the phone and it appears he’s using his phone during the restricted downtime. Trying to figure out the most likely way he’s hacking this. Any thoughts?
Nobody? I promise I'm not a kid trying to figure out how to hack my parents' restrictions. I've Googled it a bit and seems like there are several options. Anyone else experienced this? Alternatively, how would you address with your child?
Take the phone away and/or turn off wifi during “downtime”
Can you tell what apps he's using?
Do you have any “always allowed” apps?

Sometimes my kid's double counts time -- using YouTube via safari for one hour counts as 2 hours in the daily use tally, 1 hour safari, 1 hour YouTube.
Are you actually looking at what hours he is using the phone? Total time may not be accurate. |
On my phone I can just click ignore and go on with what I was doing.
