Farmers market and rain

Anonymous
Ok… this is a dumb question but my local farmers market is tomorrow with 100% chance of rain. Do farmers markets get cancelled for weather?

Not for a "normal" rain in my experience. They still have products to sell and money to earn.

Mine doesn't for normal rain, in fact, if you bring an umbrella, they give you extra money to spend. This is how they try to get people to come out in the rain.

That’s the best time to go! No crowds! Just take an umbrella or wear a rain jacket. I’ve never seen one canceled for weather unless it was like a hurricane or something.

Agree. Most are open in rain. Most also have a website or Facebook page where they will post if cancelled (happens in really, really bad weather)

Mine closes for freezing rain sometimes, especially if the roads are icy. Normal rain like tomorrow they’re always happy to see people coming out.
