| Anyone been through this or have a loved one that has done this? It requires general anesthesia and an overnight stay in hospital. Is it safe for a mid-80’s person? How was the recovery? |

| My 83 year old mother had this done last month at Inova Fairfax Hospital. I was very impressed with her care. She had to be there for 9:00 am check in and then constant pre op until they too her in for the procedure at around 12:30. She was back in recovery by 2:00 pm. She stayed the night and she was released at 10:00 am the next morning. I had planned to stay with her the next day and night but didn’t need to do it. I left her home in the early afternoon. She had no trouble with recovery. |
