2 failed IUIs, moving to IVF - what are the next steps?

We are contemplating an IVF after two failed IUIs. What are my next steps (additional tests?) (my RE is out of town so I can's ask, but want to be prepared for when he returns). How soon can I have one done?

One you get the go ahead to start (and often you have to take an injection class before getting the green light), you then usually have a "downcycle month" that may or may not involve taking birth control pills. You would start stim drugs about 3-4 weeks after the start of your "downcycle." Stim drugs take about 10 days (this varies a lot).

The only additional test I would think they would do is a mock transfer. If you have already had a saline sonogram, then they may not even have to do one since they would already know what catheter to use for IVF transfer. If you have already done injections for your IUI, then you shouldn't have to take an injection class. Good luck!
